The Esthetics department is staffed by specialists in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.

• The entire spectrum of plastic and aesthetic medicine is on offer, also for second opinions.
• A special focus is on the performance of oculoplastic procedures around the eye.
• All non-surgical as well as surgical interventions are carried out on an outpatient basis as far as possible.
• Operations with inpatient follow-up care take place in selected hospitals in the region.

Treatment

• Wrinkles (botolinum, hyaluronic, thread- or vampire lift, laser)
  By smoothing out wrinkles, a younger, fresher and more harmonious appearance is achieved.

• Laser (Xeo, Genesis, Limelight from Cutera, 3D Hollywood lifting, Fotona 4D)
  Wrinkles, small veins, pigment spots, nail fungus, warts or scars can be treated with the laser.

• Fatty tissue (lipolysis with Trusculp, 3D, radiofrequency from Cutera)
  It does not always require surgery to reduce fatty tissue in the wrong places.

• Hair (Nd-Yag-Laser)
  If unwanted hair appears on the body, it can be permantly removed with the laser.

General

The Day Clinic is located on the 4th floor and can be reached comfortably, barrier-free and wheelchair accessible.

• The patient is prepared for the forthcoming outpatient procedure in the neat anteroom.
• Specially trained specialists lovingly look after the well-being of the patient all the time.
• The outpatient procedures are always performed in the presence of an experienced anaesthetist.
• The operating room provides the surgeon with the most modern technical equipment.

Eye Surgery

• Cataract
  After removal of the opaque natural lens, a clear artificial lens is implanted into the eye.

• Glaucoma
  The aim of surgical treatment of glaucoma is to reduce the eye pressure.

• Macular Degeneration (AMD) / Diabetic Macular Edema (DME) / Vascular Occlusion
  Injections into the eyeball are necessary when fluid accumulates in the area of the retina.

• Small Interventions
  Primarily chalazions or hordeolums on the eyelids and small tumours are removed.

Aesthetic Surgery

• Eyelids (blepharoplasty, ptosis, entropion, ectropion, upper and lower eyelid lift, reconstruction)
  Tired or watery eyes can be the result of excess skin or malposition of the eyelids.

• Face (brow, forehead, neck or complete facelift, ears, nose, skin tumour, reconstruction)
  Even the smallest changes in the face can lead to an increased self-esteem.

• Hand (carpal tunnel syndrome, snap finger, ganglion, Dupuytren's contraction)
  Movement restrictions in the are of the wrist can be remedied with minor interventions.

• Body (breast augmentation with silicone or own fat, breast reduction, liposuction, tightening)
  The modelling of the own body is done for medical and aesthetic reasons.

Recovery

The best possible recovery begins as soon as you leave the operating theatre.

• After all surgical procedures our patients receive a small refreshment to strengthen them.
• Upon discharge, we keep all the necessary medication and a therapy schedule ready for the patients.
• We also provide a control appointment, so that the further care is secured.
• On request, the exclusive suite is also available for an outpatient stay to our patients.

Ophthalmology

Achieving or maintaining the best possible vision is the primary goal of an ophthalmologist visit.

• An eye examination includes inspection of the anterior and posterior segments of the eye.
• The most modern technical aids are available for any further diagnostics.
• The eye pressure should be measured regularly to prevent damage to the optic nerve in time.
• Dry or watery eyes are by far the most common reason for an ophthalmologist visit.

Visual Disorders

• Nearsightedness (myopia) / Farsightedness (hyperopia)
  The name indicates the distance at which the eyes see well.

• Astigmatism / Amblyopia
  Irregularities in the corneal surface lead to blurred vision or even weakness of vision.

• Presbyopia
  The decrease in lens flexibility with age means that glasses must be worn for close-up vision.

• Strabismus (exotropia, exophoria, esotropia, esophoria)
  Both children and adults should be treated for malpositioned eyes in time.

Diagnostics

• Field of vision (perimetry)
  Relevant optic nerve or brain damage shows localizable defects when the tests are evaluated.

• Optical coherence tomography (OCT)
  The retina and optic nerve head can be displayed in multiple layers and three dimensions.

• Corneal surface (topography) / Corneal thickness (pachymetry)
  The surface and thickness of the cornea are analysed to rule out progressive changes.

• Measurement of the eye (biometrics)
  Before refractive surgery, the eye is measured to determine the appropriate artificial lens.

Emergencies

• Red eyes
  inflammations (bacterial, viral, allergic), problems with contact lenses, burns (acid, bases)

• Pain
  feeling of pressure, strong headache, any kind of foreign bodies in the eye, light sensitivity

• Visual disturbance
  black curtain, flashes, sooty rain, double vision, blurred vision, flickering eyes, total loss of vision

• Violation
  eyelid, eye, bleeding, cut, sports accident, punch in the face

The Executive or Premium Check-ups are designed for guests with special needs and wishes.

• Before and between the examinations, the guests stay in the exclusive Privé on the 2nd floor.

• The examination and personal discussion with the ophthalmologist takes place in a private atmosphere.
• After the check-up, the guests are given detailed documentation of the findings.

Executive Check-up

The right choice for all guests over 40 years of age who want a preventive eye examination.

• Executive Check-ups take place during regular office hours.
• The examinations are more extensive than in a classical routine control.
• Additional technical aids enable an even more precise assessment of the findings and therapy recommendations.
• Sufficient time is allowed for the final personal consultation with the ophthalmologist.

Premium Check-up
